Information About Our Club

Rock Island Kiwanis Club has a long and illustrious history in the Quad City area. Over nearly 100 years, they have offered many programs to support our community and most especially the children of our community and the world.

The objectives of Kiwanis Club are:

  • Objective 1 - To give priority to the human and spiritual side of life rather than to the material values of life. (Valuing what really matters.)
  • Objective 2 - To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships. (Valuing others before self.)
  • Objective 3 - To promote the adoption and the application of highest social, business, and professional standards.  (Valuing integrity.)
  • Objective 4 - To develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive, and service-minded citizenship.  (Setting the best example.)
  • Objective 5 - To provide, through Kiwanis clubs, a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render valuable service, and to build better communities.  (Serving the children of the world and the communities in which we reside.)
  • Objective 6 - To cooperate in creating and maintaining sound public opinion and high idealism, which make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism, and goodwill.  (Doing what’s right for everyone.)
